Tipsy History
Oct 22 @ 9:45 pm – 11:15 pm

Join us for an evening with our resident Wisconsin historians as they tell and perform some tales of the Badger State’s past.  Some stories may be well known while others might teach you something new.  Oh, did we mention that it might not matter because these stories will be told by comedians who’ve had a few old-fashioneds and beers?
Crack open a cold one and come along with us on this tipsy ride through history.

Christmas Calamity: An Improvised Holiday Romance (Friday)
Dec 10 @ 9:30 pm – 11:00 pm

hallmark movie spoofGet ready for the Hallmark Christmas you’ll get to help create!

It’s that time of year where you can’t flip through the Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, or Netflix without stumbling across one of countless romantic holiday movies.  Now is your chance to join the ComedyCity players as they present to you 2 improvised holiday romance stories.  It’s like two mini-movies, just for you.

Will someone from the big city get stuck in a small town? Will there be a holiday dependent business in jeopardy of closing?  Is someone being haunted by their traumatic past that causes them to hate the holidays?  Will two people who seemingly hate each other slowly fall in love because they both happen to love Christmas?  You will need to join us to find out.

Our players will explore the classic tropes of these stories while the audience will help create the plot with their suggestions.   Christmas Calamity will be a romantic holiday treat like nobody has ever seen before.

This is a limited time show.  Get your tickets before they are gone!

Reserve your seats here.

About ComedyCity

ComedyCity is a troupe of improvisational comedy performers. We feature four shows each week, and because it’s improvisation, you never see the same show twice. ComedyCity is the longest running comedy club in Northeast Wisconsin – We’ve been performing in and around the area since 1987.

Please note: show content may venture into more mature topics and themes.

Each show features a group of performers that entertain with a series of short scenes, songs & sketches based on audience suggestions. So we might ask for your favorite animal, or something you find in your garage, and the players take that suggestion and create the action on stage.

Shows last about 90 minutes with an intermission.

Effective in 2020, our entrance and box office is on Main Avenue, with parking available on surface streets around our location.  For 7:30 shows, our theatre box office opens at 7PM.  Audience members for 9:45 shows are encouraged to arrive at 9:15 to assure the best seats.

COVID-19 Policies (as of August, 2021):

Some special rules will be in place to assist everyone’s comfort and safety.

  • Advance Reservations are strongly recommended. While walk up seating is again available, it may be extremely limited or unavailable. To guarantee seats, purchase them online in advance.
  • We have suspended audience volunteer games for the time being.
  • Beverage and snack orders can be done by phone app.  Information and download links will be provided with your reservation.

Join us for a comedy roast unlike any you have ever seen.  Christmas characters and magical beings from all over the world will gather to pay tribute to good ole Kris Kringle with a furious barrage of jokes and insults.  Will they make Santa run home to the North Pole with hurt feelings or will he get the last laugh when he airs all their dirty laundry.

We don’t yet know who will be roasting the big guy, but here are some that have stopped by in the past:

  • Frosty the Snowman
  • Mrs. Claus
  • Buddy the Elf
  • Jack Frost
  • The Easter Bunny

Who is rumored to be appearing this year (nobody has been confirmed):
